The trustee is the party responsible for managing the trust assets and for carrying out the directives of the trust agreement in accordance with the law. Once a trust has been created the trustee has a fiduciary duty to the trust beneficiaries (as well as possible duties to other parties). These duties are often complicated and extensive and do not always follow mere common sense. I advise and represent trustees and guide them in the proper, legal requirements of administering trusts. In other occasions I also advise and represent trust beneficiaries to make sure that their rights and interests are fully protected and that the trustee is properly administering the trust.
